SIF高光谱成像仪的核心是可同时实现高分辨率和高信噪比的光学系统设计,这种光学系统的实现在国内外都是一个具有难度的科学技术问题。解决该问题的关键就在于如何平衡系统的高光通量和高光学性能之间的矛盾,从而使其达到满足应用需求的平衡。
在实际的光学系统设计中,为了实现高光通量传输能力,必须实现较大的数值孔径;根据国外先进载荷仪器的系统设计方案,结合现有的荧光辐射模型估算SIF高光谱成像仪光学系统的数值孔径需达到0.17~0.25。而同时,可实现第1章中所述的高光学探测性能则需要光学系统具备接近衍射极限的像差校正能力。
在各类已有的成像光谱系统形式中,可同时实现以上二者要求的系统形式多为同心光谱仪形式,即Offner光谱仪和Dyson光谱仪。其中,Offner结构很难在0.17以上的数值孔径下保持良好的成像能力,而Dyson结构则很难提供所需的超高光谱分辨率。两种同心光谱仪所用的光栅其全息衍射效率一般在25%~40%之间,这种核心衍射器件的效率也大大限制了系统的光传输效率。
为了解决以上问题,实现SIF高光谱成像仪的合理光学系统设计,解决高光学性能与高信噪比之间的矛盾。首先光栅选用具有极高衍射效率的体相位全息透射光栅,其一阶衍射效率可达80%以上,大大高于传统的凸面和凹面光栅[19],提升了核心分光器件的光能传输效率;其次虽然荧光观测所需的分辨力较高,但是由于工作波段并不很宽,可用光学透射材料较多,因此采用透射式消色差的成像光谱光学系统,即准直透镜组和聚焦透镜组即可实现最优的像差校正。光谱仪光学系统的主要性能参数如表1所示。

为了实现对日光诱导叶绿素荧光这种微弱光的准确观测,需要在高光谱成像仪中使用合适的探测器。为了使仪器具备多平台应用的普适性,需要探测器具备较高的量子效率、较快的帧率、较大的像面等参数指标。综合考量,最终选用了辰芯公司出产的背照式GSENSE400BSI CMOS探测器。这是一款可以满足科研以及高精度工业设计的高端sCMOS传感器,其量子效率在工作波段高于70%,主要性能指标如像元数(2 048×2 048)、像元大小(11 μm×11 μm)、帧频(24/48 fps)、量化位数(12/16 bit)和满阱电荷(90 ke−)等均满足本仪器的应用需求。为了满足庞大的数据运算量以及复杂的时序逻辑控制,设计人员完成了一种新型传感器驱动和图像采集系统[20]。其功能如图3所示。
图像采集系统主要由CMOS探测器、FPGA控制模块、图像存储模块、通信模块、供电模块等几部分组成。FPGA作为控制模块,通过SPI通信协议配置CMOS传感器的工作模式,并且产生传感器的驱动时序。传感器正常工作时产生的数据图像通过8路LVDS数据对传送到FPGA进行训练和组帧,处理后的图像数据被暂存在FIFO送入DDR-SDRAM中,可以通过USB3.0或以太网将数据读出传输给上位机。

为了保证成像光谱光学系统可以与前置的望远镜头相对接,需要成像光谱光学系统实现物方远心。故将孔径光阑放置于光栅衍射面上,前端狭缝入射光经准直系统平行入射在光栅上,出射的平行衍射光线经聚焦系统会聚成像在像面上。使准直系统和聚焦系统的焦距一致,故成像光谱光学系统放大倍率为−1。
由于系统的数值孔径较大,因此在透射系统的初始结构选择上采用可对有限远距的长目标进行良好成像的双高斯初始结构,在该成像光谱系统中准直系统和聚焦系统形式一致,并对于衍射光栅呈对称形式。通过材料更换、曲率优化和光焦度的重新调整,可以对系统的球差、彗差、像散、色差和高阶像差进行良好修正,从而实现像质的最优化。优化获得的最终高光谱成像仪光学系统组成如图4所示。
系统最终优化结果如图5所示。
可以看到,设计高光谱成像仪光学系统在全工作波段范围内的全视场点列图均方根半径值小于5.5 μm,中心波长和边缘波长全视场下的MTF (调制传递函数)值在奈奎斯特频率(46 lp/mm)处高于0.65,因此设计系统具备很好的成像质量。同时设计系统畸变小于0.6%,像面上光谱keystone最大变化值约为1个像元,smile最大变化值为0.8个像元,光学性能优越。

根据设计搭建了日光诱导叶绿素荧光高光谱成像仪样机系统,样机所用的光学元件表面面型PV值优于λ/6,RMS值优于λ/40 (λ=632.8 nm),光栅面型RMS值优于λ/20。主要对光谱分辨率和空间分辨率指标进行测试,并进行了成像测试试验。
(1) 光谱分辨率测试分析
使用海洋光学出产的汞氩灯校准光源配合毛玻璃对样机进行光谱定标,首先获得了各特征波长在像面上的同时成像,取竖直谱线的中间像元行(狭缝中心,对应探测器像面第1 000行)的光谱强度拟合出特征光谱与像元关系的分布图,如图6所示。

根据以上定标结果分析仪器的像元光谱采样率约为0.93 nm/pixel。仪器光谱响应的半高宽(即光谱分辨率)平均为0.28 nm。由以上结果分析仪器的光谱分辨率完全满足设计要求。
(2) 空间分辨率测试和成像模拟
该仪器的成像光谱系统放大倍率为1∶1,因此在光谱分辨率达到要求的情况下,整机的空间分辨率即为前置望远镜的空间分辨率。使用TriOptics出产的MTF传函测试仪对前置望远镜的传递函数进行了测试获得结果如图7所示。
由图分析可知,仪器全视场下的MTF在探测器对应的奈奎斯特频(45 lp/mm)下均高于0.3;同时利用目视显微镜观测望远镜对空间鉴别率板的成像,发现可以清晰分辨50 lp/mm以上的条纹,因此仪器具备很好的空间分辨率,达到了设计指标要求。
在下午3时左右使用仪器对远处景物进行拍摄。将成像光谱仪放置在精密转台上,设置转台转速与仪器积分时间50 ms相匹配,不同单波长的图像如图8所示。在距仪器300 m左右处拍摄,这些未被校准的原始图像对树林和天空的分辨较为清晰,图像照度和质量很高,噪声水平低;且此时太阳辐射较弱,地物反射的上行辐射较弱,但仪器仍可在较短的积分时间内获取清晰的高分辨率图像,间接的证明了仪器在实地应用中具备很好的分辨率和信噪比。

摘要: 研究了一种可用于植被日光诱导叶绿素荧光遥感的高光谱成像仪样机,用以满足对植被微弱荧光辐射探测的高信噪比、高光谱分辨率的科学探测需求。根据荧光与太阳夫琅禾费线的作用探测机理,结合探测科学需求分析完成了具备高性能的光学系统设计。系统工作波段为670~780 nm的可见-近红外谱段,可覆盖植物受太阳光照射而产生的荧光辐射特征波长;系统数值孔径为0.25,这种大通光能力可确保系统具备足够的信噪比;系统光谱分辨率优于0.3 nm,并同时具备良好的成像质量。样机的初步结果完全满足设计要求,该研究将为我国未来日光诱导叶绿素荧光高光谱成像探测提供一种有力的手段。Abstract: An prototype of imaging spectrometer for the remote sensing of solar induced chlorphyll fluorescence of vegetation was researched to satisfy the scientific requirements of high SNR and high spectral resolution for the weak fluorescence observation. Based on the principle of relationship between the fluorescence and solar Fraunhofer lines, the optimization of the optical system with high performance was completed. It covered the visible-near infrared working waveband of 670-780 nm, which also covered the special wavelengths of the solar induced fluorescence. The numerical aperture was 0.25 which ensured the enough SNR of the system. The imaging spectrometer also owned spectral resolution better than 0.3 nm and excellent imaging quality. The performance tests of the prototype were studied. The research will supply an excellent engineering application in the further solar induced chlorophyll fluorescence high spectral imaging observation.
