Far-filed spot compression shaping for the laser fuze

  • The far-field spot of the miniaturization transmission system in the laser fuze was so large that the detection range of the system was quite close. To increase the detection range, the optical transmitting system of the laser fuze was designed. Based on the geometric optical principle, the combination of an aspherical lens as well as anamorphic prism pairs were adopted to compress the laser divergence angle, and simulated with the optical software ZEMAX. The simulation results indicate that after collimated by the combinatorial lens, the far-field spot diameter at the distance of 500m is approximately 10 mm and the spot shape is symmetry round. The collimation effects significantly precede the cylindrical lens, and the detection range of original miniaturization, low power laser fuze obviously improves.
